Human influence on the desert
Humans can influence the desert in many ways. They can further desertification or make some parts of the deserts fertile enough for farming. Or humans may find interest in parts of the desert and start mining for resources. Or turning the desert into residential use, such as roads and houses. Then diverting water sources for agricultural uses.
In the desert, biodiveresity is VERY important. The plants in the desert take much longer to grow, due to lack of water, than plants in any other biome. They also take very long to recover from damages. these plants are major food sources for many species in the desert and are also a major source of homes. Then predators that live in the desert rely on the other species for a source of food. So if they don't have homes to hide from these predators, then they will become endangered or extinct. Then if less of these animals are available in the enviorment for these predators, then they will starve and also become endangered. Everything in the desert has a purpose of being there and if one species goes then possibly another species will.
